"Aon's Independent Schools Risk Report is our contribution to the education sector, helping schools strive for improvement by assessing themselves against their risk registers and peers. Several new risks were introduced in 2022, including Mental Health, COVID/Pandemic Risk, Economic Slowdown, and Construction, which I believe have arisen due to situational awareness. Connecting 2022 with 2024, we see consistency with the elevation of concerns brewing for a while - talent, mental health, safety and business continuity risks - Key themes of people first and resilience. Schools can strengthen their governance, risk mitigation measures, and processes to provide a framework for resilience. By focusing on culture and well-being, schools can attract and retain talent and provide a solid foundation in the face of economic uncertainty."
